Who We Are

We are Evangelical

“Evangelical” comes from a Greek word which means “good news.” The good news is that God has graciously provided salvation from sin through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are committed to historic Christian doctrines, including the Trinity, the fully humanity and deity of Christ, Jesus’ substitutionary death and bodily resurrection, and salvation by God’s grace through faith alone. We believe all of this based on the inspiration, authority and inerrancy of the Bible.

We are Reformed

Our theological distinctives arise from the great, church-altering Protestant Reformation in the 1500s. We are not only Reformed in general, but are Reformed Presbyterian in our theological commitments and practice. We hold strongly to God’s sovereign grace and His covenantal dealings with man.

We are Confessional

We believe the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms present an accurate, clear, and biblical understanding of biblical doctrine. Having been formed by man, however, these standards are not our ultimate authority, for that authority is found in Scripture alone. But as a confessional church we have a public document declaring for ourselves and the world exactly what we believe.
